Once you can figure out when ovulation will occur, you might want to try to have intercourse at least 3 times around your projected time of ovulation as sperm will live for 48 hours. If ovulation is expected around the 14th day of the cycle, if you have intercourse on the 10th, 12th and 14th day the chances of Getting Pregnant is very great as live sperm will most likely be present at suitable intervals to achieve fertilization.

There are other more precise methods to determine ovulation. The use of basal body temperature curve requires measurement of your basal temperature upon awakening up each morning.

You can also purchase an Ovulation Predictor kit from the drug store to assist you to accurately time when you ovulate. This method is quite accurate, simple to perform can assist you to get pregnant naturally.

Some women can detect their ovulation by feeling a watery discharge in their vagina area at the time of ovulation. The amount of cervical mucus increases ten times at ovulation. An average couple will take about 4 to 6 months to achieve their pregnancy.
